Gardens App (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Islamic prayer and spiritual tracking mobile application. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and data protection in accordance with Islamic principles of trust (amanah) and responsibility.

Information We Collect

Personal information:

• Location data (only when you allow location access) for accurate prayer times and Qibla direction
• Device motion data (compass), used only to point the Qibla compass
• Prayer completion and tracking data to monitor your spiritual progress
• Madhab and calculation method preferences
• Prayer time adjustment settings
• Notification preferences

All of this information stays on your device. We operate no servers and collect no analytics.

Background Location (Travel Updates)

If you grant “Always” location access and keep “Update Location Automatically” turned on, the app periodically checks your approximate (city-level) location in the background so that prayer times and notifications stay correct when you travel — even if you do not open the app.

• This uses low-power, coarse positioning and only reacts to moves greater than about 25 km
• Your location is processed entirely on your device: it is never transmitted, stored on servers, or shared with anyone
• You can decline “Always” access or turn the setting off at any time; the app then updates your location only when you open it

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

• Provide accurate prayer times based on your location and selected calculation method
• Send prayer reminders and mercy notifications
• Track your spiritual progress and prayer consistency
• Calculate Qibla direction from your location
• Maintain your app preferences and settings

Third-Party Services

Prayer times are calculated entirely on your device — no prayer-time API is used. The app uses:

• Device location services for locating you (with your permission)
• Apple notification services for local prayer reminders

These system services may process limited data as outlined in their respective privacy policies.

Data Storage and Security

• All personal data is stored locally on your device (including the data shown by the home-screen widget)
• We do not store your personal information on external servers
• No cloud syncing by us — your device’s standard iOS backup may include app data under Apple’s protections
• Location data is used in real time and stored only on your device
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Disable location services at any time
• Turn off notifications in app settings
• Delete all app data using Clear Prayer Data in Settings, or by uninstalling the application
• Access and modify your prayer and preference data
• Contact us with any privacy concerns or questions

Children’s Privacy

Our app is designed for users of all ages practicing Islam. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and on this page. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
